My explanations are going to be simplified.

From what I understand, different hosting provider = different devs and moderation.
Northsky looks to have some potential, and they do a lot more with their moderation labeler. 🤞

Now let's get into what to note before applying:

  • You'll still be able to interact with other providers like Bsky.

  • You can log into any app as Northsky, just don't forget to change your provider while logging in.
    Or type in handle instead of email, so it can auto detect.

  • In Discord, you can connect your Bluesky as Northsky.

Post Migration Notes:

  • Save the backup key they give after migration, into a password manager!
    This is going to be your token, in case you want to migrate elsewhere.

  • If you don't see your saved posts anymore, don't panic.
    Re-login into Bsky to view them again. Not sure if it's a bug or that's just how it is between different apps.

  • Some feeds may not work or may glitch for a while.
